Internship at Happy.Inc

 Last day of the senior project!!!!! Today was the final check-up on everything. It took me a very long time, but I went through everything. I went through the GUUD app introduction videos and read all their scripts again. For the website, I found different logos to go on the mission and vision page. I didn't really like the ones they had before because they looked too cartoonish and I thought that it should look more formal.  For the vision, I changed it from a very aesthetic eye to a telescope looking at the sky and the stars. For the mission, I changed it to a target that had the green from GUUD.  I thought about the sustainable category but I wasn't able to come up with much for it since it is still in its developing phases. A lot of re-reading and re-writing but everything is good. 

 Today was a productive day! I had to get some phone calls in. I called my Fernando, he had a couple of questions about one of the sketches we had done in my computer for the app. We rewrote them again just because we didn’t like how they sounded. At the end I sent the final drafts to the graphic designer and the person that helps make the website. I’m looking forward to finalize everything that we have started during senior project. 

  Week two is complete. It has been a true pleasure to have been able to work with Fernando these past two weeks. The amount of time that he has dedicated to me is very important, since he is a very busy man. In this last week I learned many new things but I also repeated some of the same things I learned on week one. Throughout the week I got to know the company even more and got to sketch out a lot of different pages for either the app or the website. It was a typical weekend, but at the same time there were days where we did something completely different like the zoom meeting with the whole entire company. Day seven was definitely one of my favorite days this week. It was very different because it had almost nothing to do with what we had been looking at. Fernando is really good friends with one of the representatives that is running for president of the Mexican republic. Fernanda’s whole entire task force was able to talk and hear what this person had to say and how they think the

  Today was my last day working. It has been an incredible experience getting to work at Happy. Inc, but more specifically, with the new company that they are trying to start called GUUD. Since it was the last day, we polished up the GUUD website by rewriting the about us category, as well as the mission and vision statements. It took us longer than I thought it would come up with the perfect short phrase that would get the point across. I really like how they turned out because they are very different than other companies' statements. The mission statement is “Hack brains shape bodies.” The vision statement is “Find the guud in YOU. Let’s go!”. To finish strong, Fernando showed me the controls for the whole company. On his Ipad, he is going to get daily reports on everything you can think of. Second to last day at the office! I can't believe how quickly it has gone by. Looking back at it, I have learned so much about how a company starts from zero and how important it is to have people around you that have positive energy and want to work. Today I woke up with a coffee and some scrambled eggs for breakfast. I headed to the office and started to work again. We did the same old review. I sat down with Fernando, and we reviewed the GUUD app again. We want to make sure that everything is in place and that everything looks good. I hope that he gets the app up and running soon. I started the day with breakfast. I had avocado toast; I also made a bagel with cream cheese and lox. It was all very good. After that, I took a shower and got ready for the day. Drove to the office and started by reviewing some documents left over from yesterday. I used my AP Lang tools and closely read the text highlighting important information and taking notes. That took me a long time since the document was long. After that, I went down with two people on the GUUD team and talked to them about how they think the whole project is doing and progressing. I woke up this morning a little earlier than usual. Had a delicious breakfast, some chilaquiles with chicken and a sunny-side-up egg. Headed to the office and set up all my things in Fernadno's side office. I then went over to his office and sat down at his desk, and got ready for the Zoom meeting to start. The meeting was delayed a bit by the number of people that tried to join the meeting. The guy that was speaking is one of the 5 representatives' right hand who is running for president of Mexico. After that, I spent some time on the GUUD app, sketching out what I thought the website looked like. Then Cori, who is Fernando’s assistant, took me down to the Graphic Designer who created the GUUD website. He showed it to me, and I got to ask him questions and give him my opinions. Following that, I came back to the office and gave my opinions on the website to Fernando.  Hours Today: 8hr Project Total: 56 hr

  The second week is on the move now! Today was a very fun and interesting day. Woke up, had a really good breakfast, and then headed to the office. Started the morning by presenting the slide show I had created to Fernando. I gathered information from a lot of different websites trying to find which was the besst wellness apps for 2022. The presentation was a success, and Fernando liked some of the additions I recommended. After that, we sat together and sketched out the script for the tips tutorial and for the exercise tutorial. That took us a while since we wrote and rewrote them many times. It took a lot of thinking to get the perfect script. After that, we came up with the children's section topics page. These is all the topics that are going to get addressed in the app. Today was a lot more draining than I expected. Tomorrow is going to be a very interesting day as we switch up things a little. I will be taking part in a Zoom call with one of the candidates running for Presi

Feel GUUD. Look GUUD! Where to even begin? I have learned so much in these past few days. Learning from Fernando Garcia Sada is a privilege since he is an incredible entrepreneur who has had great success with his companies. Throughout the first week, I attended meetings, talked to people, and had to use my imagination to think about how this new project would look in the future. It is truly remarkable to be able to see and learn how a company is starting from zero. The project that I have been working on is called GUUD. This new start-up project is a new app regarding health and wellness with biomedicine. GUUD is the name of the app that Fernando is trying to create. His goal is for this app to be the best wellness app in the world.  The basis of a successful company is a positive and happy environment. Woke up this morning and did a quick workout on the treadmill. Headed to the office and started working on the presentation I am trying to put together to present on Monday. I went through all the different wellness apps that were the most popular last year and took notes on the things I liked the most. Talked to a couple people to ask them their opinions and what they were thinking going through this process. It was definitely a lot, but at the end of the day, I put together a solid presentation on my opinions of the new app. GUUD is the name of the app that Fernando and his team are trying to create. Their vision for the app is to become the most popular wellness app in the world. Their company discovered a weight loss formula that has been in testing for about 7 years. Finally, at the beginning of this year, the pill got approved by the FDA. The name of this medicine is Silti. The app GUUD is going to sell the pill along with a scanner (scale) and workout routines for people to foll

Today's breakfast was a very traditional Mexican breakfast. I ate this plate called chilaquiles. These consist of a plate filled with tortilla chips, bathed in either green or red sauce, and then topped off with shredded chicken, cheese, sour cream, and sometimes even an extra sunny-side-up egg. This is one of my favorite Mexican breakfasts; I knew I was going to have a good day just because of that. Got to the office and talked for a while with Fernando. We finished discussing some topics we had left off from yesterday. Then I began with the task I had for today, which was writing up a part of what should be included in the official document regarding the introduction the wellness coaches are going to receive. In this write-up, I needed to include certain details regarding how they could promote supplements and vitamins that they like, but if they are sold in the GUUD store, then they should direct the client to the store. Today was a more relaxed day at the office. When I got there, I started by watching videos of the step-by-step rundown of the app. I had to take notes and write down if there was anything I thought needed to be changed or added. I wrote a few things down, and after I did, I went and talked to Fernando. Together we discussed the things I belied needed to get switched. He then told me to read over the introduction scripts and take notes on that as well. It was a good day at the office. Excited for tomorrow! Hours Today: 8hr Project Total: 24 hr

  Day 2: Today was a very long day. I got to the office, and I immediately got handed this stack of documents I had to read. They were the terms and conditions for the new app that the company is trying to develop. I spent about 40 minutes reading all the documents and then Fernando pulled me out, and we walked into one of the conference rooms. We met up with three of the main people working on the team to develop this project. Two of them were lawyers, and the other one was the leader of the media and marketing team. We sat in the room discussing all the concerns that had come up from one of the Terms and Conditions drafts. It was really interesting to hear everyone's opinions on all these different topics. I also contributed to the conversation, and I even got a vote on one of the things they wanted to add. I contributed to the making of this. It was a very fun and productive day at the office. Monday, May 8th: Today was the first day at the office. As I walked into this huge building on one of Monterrey's main avenues, my nerves came rushing in. I walked around this big corporate office, trying to find Fernando's office. I sat outside his office on the third floor for about 10 minutes until his secretary showed up and immediately called him up. He was helping someone on another floor. He came up immediately to greet me with the biggest smile. He was so happy to see me. We walked into his office and decided to make a schedule for the week. We planned out what we would be covering each day. He gave me a tour of the whole building and explained the purpose behind the layout of the offices and all the decorating on the different floors. We then returned to his office and spent the rest of the day talking through the whole story of the business and product he is trying to create. The Product is called Guud.
